Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Do you remember when you were a kid? Did you like to play and pretend you were someone else? A doctor? A cook? A police officer? Maybe an astronaut? And did you like it? Well, so do my students!

The dramatic center is so important in a Pre-K classroom, it provides students with opportunities to learn social skills (such as collaboration or taking turns) as well as academic skills.

The materials in this project will allow us to create real life scenarios where my students can put into practice their social skills and problem solving skills and learn new academic concepts. Learning will take a whole new dimension when they see that the concepts we learn, like counting and one to one correspondence, have a real life application.

I like to change the dramatic center monthly so that it matches the theme we are studying. Home, fire station, farm to market, restaurant... the possibilities are endless. All we need is their imagination... and these new materials to make the dramatic center a more realistic one!
