My Students

Students at our elementary school love art! They love to experiment with new materials and always show excitement about the new projects we start. We are a Title I campus and students do not always have art opportunities outside of school, so I’d love to give them the best exposure to art and art materials possible in the classroom. Approximately 600 students rotate to art as one of their three ‘specials’. This year in addition to k-5, pre-k will be coming too!

My Project

This year pre-k students are coming to art! To better serve their needs, we need special supplies in the art room for their developmental level. We need Jumbo watercolors and big brushes for painting, triangular pencils for drawing, large colored pencils for coloring, and play-dough for sculpting. Little hands and young minds need unique supplies for their artistic endeavors. We will have stations to keep students energized while holding their attention.

Jumbo Paints and large brushes will provide a painting station, large triangular pencils and colored pencils will make a drawing station possible, while play-dough will supply a station for sculpting.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
