Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every spring, we incubate and raise baby chicks with our students. During this process, the students are able to see the chickens go from egg to hatching, to growing babies! After they are a few weeks old, the chicks are given to a loving home! (Often times with our students as pets!) Unfortunately, our old incubator is no longer controlling the humidity needed to safely hatch the eggs. This life cycle lesson is such an amazing and memorable experience for our students! Please help us be able to continue this tradition and give our students this hands-on learning experience again this year!
