My students need a new set of speakers for the keyboard practice room. It makes it possible for them to receive individualized instruction and musical experiences.

My Students

My students require individualized attention right in their zone of proximal development in order to achieve their highest potential.

There are 600+- in our HS from 5 different townships and 3 counties.

We are DIVERSE, and as such, being able to meet the needs of our individuals is important. Most musical development requires mentored and modeled learning, but also individual time to develop their personal musician skills.

My Project

We're requesting funds that will allow the use of a keyboard and other sound sources in our practice room for individual and small ensemble rehearsal. Much of their learning is accomplished through small ensembles... this allows the student to BE the musician, as opposed to just doing what the musician(teacher) asks them to do. We're requesting funding for are a set of high quality studio monitors (Public Address system -hence the name of the project), that will allow students the personal interaction necessary for developing musicianship.

Music and the experiences these students have will shape who they become as people, and ultimately the lives and contributions they bring to the world.

Learning how to generate music it incredibly important for becoming a contributing member of humanity.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
