My Project

I have a very curious group of 2nd graders who are creative and imaginative. They are eager learners who need tools to help them practice skills repeatedly, whether in reading, writing or math. Also, with ease of technology, a new type of "board" can be used as well!

The items the requested will allow the students to have more practice sheets for different content areas without having to constantly switch papers and they will be able to use LCD doodle board without having to clumsily get a white board, a dry erase marker and an eraser while on the rug.

We currently have plastic sleeves we use in class, but when we need to practice a new skill, a new sheet needs to be in inserted into the sleeves, but we often revisit the old skills, and that sometimes have created problems in managing the changing of sheets. Having enough sleeves will allow us to have different sheets for different subject areas without having to constantly change the practice sheet. We also use mini white boards, but it also means I have pens and erasers the students must get every time they bring it to the rug. With the new doodle boards, the pens are already attached, and the students can write their answers and clear their boards easily and quickly. No more losing of pens and erasers! These new materials will help us be more efficient with our learning.
