My Students
"Dedicated, determined and talented" are the words I would use to describe the athletes on our team. As coaches at a title one school, athletics are faced with funding challenges. Despite these challenges we strive to provide these ladies with meaningful and memorable athletic experiences.
These female athletes are dedicated not only to this sport but their academics as well.
They have spent countless hours practicing and preparing for games on and off season. They understand that it takes hard work and dedication to be successful. We have a budget through the school for the primary needs of the sport but we want to provide these athletes with more challenging practices that will allow them to develop more advanced skills.
My Project
Field Hockey is an exciting sport requiring teamwork, co-ordination, and athleticism. We want to continue to be a competitive force on the field. To stay competitive, we need to make sure the team is equipped properly. Expenses include a ball machine.
This machine will allow the girls to practice at a higher level and enhance their stick skills.
We want to provide the girls with practice drills that will build on their skills and take them to the next level. This machine will allow us to do this. We will be able to take normal drills and enhance them with the speed of the ball release.
Field hockey is not just a sport, but it develops a family. These girls work hard for themselves but also for each other. We are proud to be their coaches! All we want is to provide them the best, which they deserve. For this, I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to write for these donations through DonorsChoose.org.
