Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This season we will have over 60 hard working student athletes participating in our football program. Capitol Hill High School is a Title I school with a majority of our students receiving free and reduced lunch. We try and supply them with everything they need to be successful. The athletes in our football program have increased their commitment towards team excellence.

We have extremely talented students at Capitol Hill that can accomplish a lot when they put forth great effort towards something they are passionate about.

We believe that the lessons learned through hard work in team sports will carry over to all aspects of their lives.

My Project

Many of our players do not have the resources to bring everything they need for practice. We try to make sure that everything is provided so that all students can participate regardless of their resources. With our current budget cuts, extra curricular activities are relying heavily on donations from our community. Our practice shirts will be worn everyday for practice during the football season. Many of our players also check out shirts for off-season workouts. These shirts will be used for practice for the next several seasons helping current and future Red Wolves reach personal and team goals. Your donations will be put to good use and are very much appreciated!
