My Students

Our high school is a unique culture mixed with affluent students as well a students who qualify for free and reduced-price lunch. As a Title 1 school, funding for students and athletes is limited. The student-athletes help to create a positive school culture and are leaders inside and outside of the classroom. Providing them with competitive equipment allows them to enhance their passion for the sports they play. Athletes dedicate themselves outside of the scheduled day to enhance their opportunities.

My Project

My student athletes will be able to perform drills effectively by having the proper practice equipment. With minimum funding for athletics, we have not purchased new practice balls in the two years since I have been here. Providing our players with safe playing equipment supports our state mission. The most effective way to provide funding for our players is to seek support from organizations like DonorsChoose.org. This project will show the community and players the funding for athletics is scarce and requires assistance. With over 50 players in the program, 10 dozen baseballs is critical to running effective practices. Thank you.
