This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Strength training is our students' favorite unit in our Foundations class and the most popular stand-alone elective class. They love being strong! We work on all different kinds of strength, but our common theme is building the capacity to be healthy and helpful.

A yoke has tons of transferable strength-building exercises to develop and challenge our students’ health and helpfulness.

This single piece of equipment offers heavy carries, sled pushes, it’s a squat rack, it’s a pull-up bar. It can be an obstacle to move sandbags over or their body over Push, pull, squat, carry, or jump. This one can do it all! It might be the tipping point to bring fun but practical fitness to many of our students.
