Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
It can be hard for us to think about our children growing up and starting school, especially when they are still so young. The Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) can give children much-needed early help to get ready for kindergarten and the years beyond.
Our 4 & 5-year-olds are like little sponges learning how to manage themselves and are eager to explore the world around them.
Within our preschool classroom, our children exhibit a diversity of knowledge based on their individual differences in development, cultural background, and previous learning experiences. Through a team-teaching approach, we provide accommodations to meet the social-emotional and academic needs for general education and special education students.
My Project
My students are in need of some safety precautions in our classroom. Due to their different limitations, it is very important to install safety gates and cabinet door latches to prevent them from running out of the door and getting into different cabinets. Due to a non-existent budget to purchase this type of equipment, I have to appeal to your giving hearts.
Safety always comes first, especially when it comes to special needs students.
It would be amazing if, with your help, I could provide my students with an amazingly safe environment to learn new life skills and improve their day to day leaning endeavors.
