Powering Up Learning: Classroom Charging Stations for Students

Help me give my students classroom charging stations so they can keep their devices powered for learning, research, and staying connected throughout the school day.

My Project

My students are energetic, curious, and constantly seeking new ways to learn and connect. Many of them juggle academics, extracurricular activities, and part-time jobs. For many, their phones are essential learning tools—used for research, reading, assignments, and communication with their families. However, keeping devices charged during the school day can be a challenge, especially for students without access to a charger or outlet in the classroom.

I am requesting cell phone charging stations that can be placed in our classroom to ensure students can keep their devices charged and ready for academic use.

These charging hubs will allow students to quickly plug in their devices during independent work time, group projects, or study periods—without missing valuable learning time searching for an outlet.

In addition to supporting class assignments, a charged phone allows students to take photos of notes, access our online learning platforms, translate information, and stay connected with family when needed. For some of my students, this is especially important due to after-school responsibilities or transportation arrangements.

We need 3 multi-port USB charging stations with assorted charging cables (Apple, Android, USB-C).

With these charging stations, students will no longer have to sit on the floor near the one available outlet or worry about losing access to digital resources mid-class. This will create a more organized, equitable, and supportive learning environment where all students can focus on the task at hand instead of their battery percentage.
