My Project

I am a special education high school teacher, and my students need access to reliable technology and structured learning tools to fully engage in instruction and build the skills necessary for academic success. This project will provide an iPad, a laptop, a printer, a laptop desk, and essential desk accessories to create a supportive, organized, and technology-rich learning environment tailored to their needs.

Many of my students receive special education services and require differentiated instruction, visual supports, and assistive technology to access grade-level content.

The iPad and laptop will be used daily for accessing digital texts, completing assignments, participating in interactive lessons, and using educational applications that support reading, writing, organization, and executive functioning skills. These tools allow students to work at their own pace while receiving targeted instruction, increasing both engagement and confidence.

The printer will play a critical role in supporting students who benefit from having physical materials. Students will be able to print assignments, graphic organizers, study guides, and practice activities, helping them stay organized and better understand expectations. For many learners with disabilities, having paper copies reduces cognitive overload and supports comprehension.

The laptop desk and essential desk accessories will help create a sworkspace that promotes focus, organization, and productivity. These tools support the development of executive functioning skills such as task initiation, organization, and time management skills my students actively work on every day.

Together, these resources will remove barriers to learning, promote independence, and ensure my students have access to the tools they need to succeed academically and beyond the classroom.
