My Project

Reading is essential, and what better way to encourage and fuel reading than with a special event! Read Across America week is fast approaching, and we will be having a read-a-thon. I want to motivate my students to read for enjoyment by hosting an event in which they can relax and snack while reading.

Read Across America is a BIG deal!

For this project, I am requesting snacks that my students can enjoy throughout the week. On one special day of the week, we will read as many books that we can read. We will chart our books, but most importantly we will have great snacks to fuel our energy while we read. I am hoping that with the snacks and large pencil as a takeaway, the students will not only have energy snacks to keep them Powered Up, but they will be reading to enjoy.
