My Project

My students are special needs students who need additional support to learn various concepts. Teaching them through various modalities helps increase their academic retention. This project will provide them with that opportunity.

Most of my students learn through a hands-on approach, active movements, and through experience.

The goal of my project is to create a shadow box to learn about various views or perspectives using picture books. My students will read and analyze picture books to help with reading comprehension. I would like them to conclude their lesson by creating a shadow box to remind them to always look at things from all perspectives, which is a valuable lesson for any student.

To provide them with active movement I am also requesting a standing desk to give them alternative seating.

This project will be a great hands-on learning opportunity.
