This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing individuals that need hands-on opportunities to feel successful! I teach mostly English language learners at a Title I school, and our current curriculum is too difficult to tackle at this part of the school year.
Help me differentiate their intervention to meet their needs and create lifelong learners!
My students come to school each day excited to learn, but unfortunately that excitement dwindles away when confronted with the harsh reality that they need a lot of remedial support. More of the same is not what they need - innovative intervention is needed to make them succeed in school. Together, we can make their academic success a reality!
My Project
We all know it takes a village and this project is engaging the whole family to learn together! Not only will it engage the teacher (me) to design digital homework but it will have families focus on the student's education.
Learning doesn't stop when the school bell rings, it continues all day long!
This PowerMyStudentLearning kit will ensure that the students take the lessons out of the classroom setting and teach their families.
Digital literacy is so important in our current world and the more experience we can give this future generation, the better. I'm excited that this project allows me to share this professional development with four other teachers too!
