My students just need that extra support to reach their full potential. Unfortunately, many of my students lack the phonemic awareness to be able to grasp grade level standards. I am advocating for them by thinking outside of the traditional classroom setup and making their intervention experience as innovative as possible. Most of my students come from homes that unfortunately can not provide them with access to technology, even the public library is too far away to walk to. This plea for technology will give my students what LAUSD hasn't been able to - working technology in the classroom!
