Power in Your Pen: Creating the Future with iPad Pro
Help me give my students the Apple 11-inch iPad Pro, which will empower my journalism and yearbook students with powerful tools for writing, photo editing, layout design, and on-the-go creativity—all in a sleek, portable device.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Together, we're not just learning—we're creating magic, one headline at a time.
Tools like cameras and iPads give students hands-on opportunities to explore journalism and yearbook design in real time, allowing them to write, edit, photograph, and publish with professional-quality results.
These resources support collaboration, creativity, and technical skill development, helping students take ownership of their work while learning how to communicate effectively in a digital world.
My goals are to empower students to become confident storytellers, strengthen their writing and design skills, and foster teamwork through the creation of a meaningful, student-led yearbook that reflects the heart of our school. I also hope to provide a lasting learning experience where students see how their voices and creativity can make an impact.
My students are vibrant, curious, and full of heart—they bring energy, imagination, and a fresh perspective to everything they do. What makes them truly special is their passion for capturing moments that matter and their genuine excitement in telling the stories of their peers, teachers, and school community with care and pride.
