Help me give my students these power strips to allow use of technology in our classrooms. This year I am projected to have close to 37-40 students each period.
As of right now, we don't have enough outlets.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Imagine living along the United States/Mexico border: Eager to learn but high poverty puts the students at a disadvantage from their peers throughout the rest of the country. Our classroom has a diverse culture with students constantly sharing their heritages and cultures. Being enrolled in a Fine Arts school is a jump start to creating a better life, however, the school was remodeled from a closed school and the building is beautiful, but lacks the classroom tools needed to enhance the learning. Our students are out-performing other schools within the district but still fall below the state average. Despite the hardships, these students are grateful for what they have and want to prepare for a better future.
My Project
We are a fine arts magnet school and our enrollment increases each year. This year I will be the only 8th grade ELA teacher which will give me 5 periods of 35-40 students. My biggest classes in the past have been 31-32, our classroom is in need of these power strips. We use technology regularly, studying film, reading/writing workshops, etc. These power strips will ensure all students have the ability to plug in their computers.
Power is knowledge.
Each of these pods will be placed on a table for easy access, and the power will be at the students' fingertips. With the world adapting to digital everything, these students are following in the footsteps of change. Imagine what we all could have accomplished at these students' ages with the resources that are available. Thank you for your consideration to help our classroom.
