My Project

This is the first time our grade level has been asked to departmentalize! Our entire grade level team is so excited for this change but we know it is going to be a lot of work.

This year I am teaching 75-80 5th graders science and social studies every day.

Because of this change I need to customize my classroom with mostly science and social studies content. Some topics will include: Native American Leaders, Weather, The Regions of the United States, and The Bill of Rights. Currently, I do not have many social studies posters (I already have quite a few thanks to DonorsChoose). My intention is to have one of my classroom bulletin boards dedicated entirely to science and the other one social studies. These bulletin boards will display science and social studies topics that go along with the content that is being discussed in class. In order for these bulletin boards to become a reality, we just need the sticky tack and posters!
