My Project

This is the first time our grade level has been asked to departmentalize! Our entire grade level team is so excited for this change but we know it is going to be a lot of work.

Next year I am going to be teaching 75-80 5th graders science and social studies every day.

Because of this change I need to customize my classroom with mostly science and social studies content. Some topics will include: The Solar System, Weather, The Regions of the United States, and The Bill of Rights. Currently, I do not have any social studies posters and only a few science ones. My intention is to have one of my classroom bulletin boards dedicated entirely to science and the other one social studies. These bulletin boards will display science and social studies topics that go along with the content that is being discussed in class. In order for these bulletin boards to become a reality, we just need the supplies and posters!

I am also asking for laminated colorful maps to use with students when I reference a specific area or country. It is so important for students to know which area of the world I am referring to when teaching!
