This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Paint is a consumable art supply no art class should be without, and dwindling school budgets after the end of Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funding means a very tight budget. For a school as large as ours I will need enough paint for all, and presently I will not have enough.

Next school year I am looking at five gallons to be used among my five hundred students.

Even with careful monitoring and training, my students will need to use more paint than my budget will allow. This basic staple shouldn't be rationed in any art class, and I hope my students will have the paint supplies they will need.
