This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Many of my students are from disadvantage backgrounds. These students have a difficult time with having a positive attitude toward attending school and learning. They have a difficult time seeing themselves as be successful in life. If I can give them incentives for just the small achieve my can make by rewarding them for small successes then I hopeful it will lead to more gradual success. It is as simple as showing them that someone cares about the efforts no matter how small. Showing and helping them with self-esteem is a good thing.
