My Project

We are hoping to obtain a snow cone machine, cotton candy machine, and various supplies to use for Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) programs, such as movie days, karaoke, the Valentine Ball, and much more.

We have had lots of success with our inclusion of PBIS to our overall school curriculum in recent years.

PBIS has been shown to reduce undesired behaviors in students, increase individual well being, and increase feelings of support and connection in classrooms.

Recent severe weather had quite an impact on the emotional well being of students in our community. Our students have been impacted by missed school days due to tornadoes, flooding, and even severe winter storms.

Missed school days not only lead to learning loss, but can also negatively impact the social-emotional well being of our students. Children need socialization for the sake of development.

Our PBIS programs not only reward students for positive behavior, but the programs increase social skills and promote well being.

The cotton candy and snow cone machines will certainly brighten our students’ faces following all of the severe weather our area has experienced.
