My Project

I teach 23 energetic and excited 2nd graders. These students come to school excited to learn and thrive on positivity. When using positive behavior supports and appropriate classroom management, research has shown a decrease in problems which increases academics.

I have found positive incentives in the classroom, motivates students and encourages good behavior!

The items needed for this project will provide rewards for the students who demonstrate positive behavior and are working hard. I will use the scoreboard as a whole class positive incentive as students will vs the teacher and earn points for positive behavior. I will use the plinko board and spinning wheel will for the students to earn classroom coupons and rewards. Students have loved Squishmallows so I will use them as a reward in which students may earn time with a them.

All these incentives will help create a positive learning environment in the classroom and positive learning environment equal positive impacts on student success, encourages good behavior and increase in academics.
