My students love finding their just right spot for learning and work time. They need fun options for just right seating in our classroom. To fully benefit from this, my students need flexible seating options in our classroom. Flexible options such as wobble stools, bolster pillows and portable chairs allow for students to find that just right spot for learning! As adults, we don't like sitting in a chair all day; 2nd graders are no different! Bolster Pillows and portable chairs allow for student movement around the classroom to work with clipboards. Studies show allowing students to choose their work space often encourages them to take more ownership in their learning. Wobble stools will provide a great tool for those students who find it difficult to sit still. Adding these options will give my students the flexibility to choose a comfortable spot to sit and learn throughout our day. I am excited to be able to incorporate flexible seating for my 23 amazing 2nd graders! We are excited to create a 21st century classroom!
