This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are kindergarten through 4th grade learners who benefit from structured, engaging physical education experiences. Our PE program serves students with a wide range of physical abilities, learning needs, and social-emotional skills. Physical Education plays a critical role in helping students build confidence, self-regulation, and lifelong healthy habits.

I am requesting portable mini golf mat courses that can be easily rolled up, moved, and stored between classes.

These mats will allow me to teach a mini golf unit efficiently while maintaining quick gym clean-up and smooth transitions throughout the school day. Having multiple mats will ensure students remain active and engaged without excessive waiting time.

Mini golf is an excellent lifetime activity that supports physical, mental, and social-emotional development. Students improve hand-eye coordination, balance, and motor control while learning focus, patience, and perseverance. The game also promotes sportsmanship, turn-taking, and respectful peer interaction in a low-pressure, inclusive setting.

The portable mats allow me to set up station-based lessons that maximize participation and minimize downtime. Because the mats are lightweight and easy to move, I can quickly reset the gym between classes and maintain a safe, organized learning environment. These mats help create clearly defined putting areas, reducing crowding and safety concerns. They eliminate the need for bulky equipment and allow students to spread out, lowering the risk of collisions. Their design makes mini golf accessible to all students, regardless of ability level.
