Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day starts with me personally greeting each child as they walk into the classroom. My goal is for them to love coming to school so they don't even realize how much they are actually learning. This is accomplished by immersing them in engaging and fun activities.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and economic levels.

Many of them speak two languages and need to become their parents translator between school and them. Over 75% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. These meals are the healthiest meal they eat during the day. Despite many of their difficult living conditions, they come to school ready to learn and with smiles on their faces.

My Project

Your donations will go towards a rolling easel for my classroom. I teach from various spots in my room. Having this easel will help enhance my teaching.

A rolling easel is not just a teaching tool for a teacher it is a learning tool for the students.

The easel will be used to hang charts as well as write on to reinforce skills that are taught.

The children will be able to go up to the easel and easily read he charts because they will be at eye level. The charts are wonderful references for the children during reading and writing.
