My Students

I teach 22 adorable five and six-year-olds​. They are learning to read, write and do math. They are also learning how to be a friend, how to follow adult directions, and how to maneuver the world around them. Although they are all different, they are all curious, happy and at times very wiggly! They come from many different backgrounds. Some have had preschool but some have not. They are developmentally at very different levels. They are all amazing and full of potential!

My Project

I feel like there is not enough time in my kindergartener's day for books. They only attend 1/2 day and there are so many things that we need to accomplish. One way that I like to get books in is by listening to audiobooks during center time. Unfortunately, I only have one CD player and the students are in groups of three. They have to listen to the audiobook out loud and it is distracting to the other students. I would love to have three portable CD players so that each child in the center could listen to their own book with headphones.
