Help me give my students the opportunity to raise funds by selling popcorn during school activities. These funds will be used to purchase new & exciting materials for the library for this year & many years to come!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Inquiring minds want to know! Now! Our students love to keep abreast of what's new and exciting. Sports, fantasy, sci-fi, drama, romance, realistic fiction, or comedy, they are always ready for the next episode. "When are you getting the new book? When does the new series arrive? Can you order a book about coding, motocross, dogs, cooking..? I just saw the movie (insert title), do you have the book?"
Our students love exploring new materials made available to them in the library.
They are inquisitive about new literature, authors, and genres. When reading a series they just have to know, "what happens next?"
In this day and age, patience is not a strong point for many of our students, so waiting a month for a book to be ordered and shipped is a hard pill to swallow.
I love this enthusiasm and excitement. It is exciting to be a part of this youthful community which is always striving to expand their horizons.
My Project
Students will use the popcorn machine during school activities to help raise funds to purchase new materials for the library. The capital made from the sold popcorn will be used toward purchasing the newest titles, sequels, up and coming authors, updated nonfiction, and new biographies.
Students are always enthusiastic and excited for "the next best thing", so being able to have funds in hand make it possible to help satisfy the insatiable appetites of our voracious readers.
Offering updated and diverse materials will enhance our library selection. Increasing the number of books at different reading levels, for different reading styles, with different reading genres, will not only support curriculum but the needs of our diverse school community.
