Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kids are some of the most special kids in the world. Our school has over 60% English language learners and many of our students are part of the free and reduced lunch program. We are a Title 1 school and strive to make great achievement in reading each year. My kids want to learn and read every minute they can. We talk about reading so much, but the books I have to offer are not the awesome up to date chapter books they are interested in.

My Project

After receiving my last project on leveled and series books, my students are continuing to be excited and we have some new series to add to our library. My entire classroom library is being revamped thank you to the help of DonorsChoose.org and all who contributed to my classroom. These different leveled books range from 1st grade through 4th grade reading levels. My class is full of ELL learners and I have a variety of reading levels to meet as many classrooms do. The best thing to have is a classroom library full of books for every level so no student feels left out.

I am also requesting a few organizational supplies for my students.

Being a successful student is not just being great academically, there are other things that go into becoming a GREAT student and one of them is organization.
