Popping to Learn Math, Reading, and Spelling

Help me give my students Pop Sensory Toys to help them learn their numbers in math, their alphabet letters and sounds in reading, and letters in spelling.

My Students

A smile comes over my face when I see my kiddos walk through the door ready to learn. I have the joy of working with an enthusiastic, energetic, creative, and inventive class of first graders.

My students come from a variety of backgrounds.

I teach in a small, rural community. We are a Title I school and welcome the diversity of our students.

Our focus in first grade is to help our firsties to learn to love learning. They love reading, writing, math, science, and technology (just to mention a few) by working together with our “school family.” They are like sponges and soak up every bit of information that they can get each day.

My goal is to give them a solid foundation in first grade that will provide them with the basic fundamental skills to help them throughout their lives. These children are our future leaders. Our class will appreciate any support that you can give. By supporting our children today, we hope that they will grow up to become productive members of society.

My Project

My students will have a great time tapping out/popping out letters/sounds with this new and exciting educational toy when they are learning how to identify the letters of the alphabet and the sounds. After students have learned their letters and sounds, it will be a great tool in helping them learn how to spell and recognize how many sounds are in a word. Additionally, it is a wonderful way to help them learn how to count, add, and subtract in math.

Students are so excited to learn new concepts each day.

By providing my students with a fun and exciting tool to help them during workshops and in class, it will give them more of a desire to come to school because they know that they will be able to participate in fun and engaging activities. I would like to give each one of my students one of these items for Christmas if this project is funded. SHHHHH! It will be a surprise.
