Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Space is always an issue in our class. These pop up table will serve as additional space for crafting, building, and working with math models and manipulatives. My students will benefit from the opportunity to return to their activity without cleaning up their workspace during every transition. The large tables will allow the students more space to work on school projects and provide them extra elbow room when sitting with their peers.

Please help me to purchase these tables, so my students have an additional workspace!

It is my belief that providing additional extra table space will help minimize student distractions as they will not be working shoulder-to-shoulder with their neighbors. It will also allow students who need a bit more space to spread out more easily, may reduce excessive talking during quiet work time, and will allow students to be separate from their peers while receiving additional instruction so as to reduce feelings of embarrassment. Lastly, we can easily convert our classroom into a party for celebrations and holidays.
