Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Most students have heard of climate change by 9th grade but very few students understand how climate change affects their daily lives. Books and supplies will support student learning by providing foundational understanding of climate science. Students will be able to watch the life cycle of luna moths in the classroom while creating a more resilient climate for future generations by experimenting in the garden outside the classroom.

The seed packets will allow students to create a pollinator garden that will support the moths and butterflies being raised in the classroom for new generations to survive and thrive over the summer.
