Throughout the semester, students were able to experiment with the disposable cameras. They took photos of each other, their projects, school events, and our field trip to the Visual Arts Center. Additionally, they loved getting to use the dry-erase boards for reading and vocabulary review games. We were reading \"Determined to Stay: Palestinian Youth Fight For Their Village\" and students enjoyed getting to use the dry-erase boards in teams during our review game. Every single student participated in that review game, and students were even getting out of their seats as they got very competitive, in a fun and friendly way, with each other. \r\nThe reaction students had to receiving the supplies was pure excitement. When I received the phone call from the front office to notify me that my supplies had arrived, many students volunteered to help me get the supplies. Then, it was exciting to explain to them how disposable cameras work because most of them had never used or even seen one. When we first used it, they thought they could see the photo immediately. Students were able to receive some of the developed photos and I have some of them in my classroom. Many photos did not come out very well as they were underexposed and very dark, so I had to explain this to students as well that photography is something that they can learn and practice doing. \r\nWe will continue to integrate multi-media in my classroom and we'll begin including videography as well. Students shared tools and ideas, developing essential problem-solving and engineering skills.
