it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are excited to give our 4th-grade students the opportunity to explore podcasting, an engaging and heartfelt way to enrich their social-emotional learning while developing their writing skills.
Through this project, students will participate in meaningful conversations that connect directly to their writing curriculum, including informative, persuasive, opinion, and narrative pieces.
To help foster connections and enrich student discussions, we will incorporate social-emotional conversation starter cards. These “Get to Know Me” prompts will encourage students to share their thoughts, experiences, and emotions, helping them build stronger relationships while enhancing their communication skills.
Drafting and editing aren’t always the most popular subjects in class, but by integrating these skills into podcast creation, we aim to make the process exciting and purposeful. Students will learn to write, draft, edit, and publish their work with the goal of recording and sharing their voices with the world using mic kit and headset adapter.
Your donation will help provide students in an underprivileged community with access to this continuous podcasting experience, enhancing classroom engagement, strengthening writing skills, and offering valuable hands-on technology practice. This project will empower students with a new technological skill that can benefit them in the future.
