My Students

Fifth grade is such an exciting year! They start the year as kids and by the end they are budding teenagers. I love teaching my fifth graders because they love learning.

The students at WE strive for excellence.

They want to do great things and I'm happy to be the teacher at their side as they reach for excellence.

My Project

Westridge is a STEM based school. We have open tables that seat four in order to promote collaborative learning. It is great for projects and for teaching the students to work together. It isn't so great for organization. Students desks will often become cluttered because they don't have their own space on the desk to store their pencil boxes and books. This has led to some frustration and a lot of disorganization. I want to help my current students and future students have their own space so they can enjoy learning more!

My students and I will be overjoyed to receive chair pockets for each of their chairs!

With these pockets my students will have their own space for storing books, pencils, supplies, etc. in an organized manner. I think this will be a source of joy for these students and for me! It will help me to focus in on and promote learning instead of wasting time on transitions, switching seats, and organization.
