Pocket Dragons

My Project

We are just starting an all-school book club on the book Dragons in a Bag. Every family is getting a copy of the book to read at home. This grant will fund an art project for second through fifth graders. The author has shared that the idea for Dragons in a Bag came from a present of tiny plastic dragons that she kept in a mint tin.

Students are crafting tiny dragons to fit in their mint tins.

We will use the dragons as an opportunity to connect our art projects to writing by describing our dragons or writing about an adventure.
