My Students

I teach at a Title I school, where I spend a lot of my own money on furniture and supplies for my classroom. My school district does not have extra funds for curriculum supplies, or for extra materials and furniture. Our poverty level is high. More than 75% of our students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch.

My students, despite what they don't have at home, come into school every day eager to learn with smiles on their faces.

They look forward to coming into school and learning in a safe environment. We strive to do our best and work hard!

My Project

We are in need of storage bins, pocket charts and an adjustable stand for our pocket chart station for literacy and math! The bins would be a way for us to organize the materials that are needed for the pocket charts during stations. The pointers can be used when the students are reading words/sentences during stations.

My students love learning and having hands on materials/tools.

These pocket charts and stand would be a way for them to manipulate the materials and help them learn the skills I am teaching at that time.
