My students need one laptop work on their reading and math skills.
How much time do you spend on the computer? Do you find yourself fully engrossed in an on-line activity? This is the same type of engagement that I want for my students in the area of math and reading. They often do not have access to computers or Internet at home.
My students are responsible, caring fourth graders who come from a variety of backgrounds.
Our school is located in an urban area. My students do not always have access to technology. For many of them, school is the only time they get to use technology.
We will incorporate the laptop during reading centers where students can take turns working. We have a variety of computer programs that engage students in reading and math. These programs provide instructional materials that meet the needs of my diverse group.
The use of a laptop will help me to differentiate between the needs of all my students.
Whether they are at a first grade level or a seventh grade level, I will be able to engage, enrich, and inspire!
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
