Plug In and Play: Powering Our Classroom Keyboards

My Project
My students are bright, energetic, and full of musical potential. They come from a variety of backgrounds and bring so much creativity and enthusiasm to our music classroom. Whether we're learning to play chords on keyboards, composing simple melodies, or exploring sound and texture, my students thrive when they have hands-on access to instruments.
Unfortunately, our keyboards often sit unused because we don't have enough power adapters or batteries to keep them running.
These essential resources—keyboard adapters, batteries, and power strips—will ensure that all students can participate fully and consistently in music-making. The adapters will keep keyboards powered without relying on costly disposable batteries. The batteries we do receive will allow us to go wireless when we need to move around the room or work in stations. And power strips will let us connect multiple keyboards safely and efficiently in shared spaces.
With your support, every student will have the chance to dive deeper into learning, performing, and creating music. These small tools make a big difference in helping us build confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of music.
