The Bucket Drumming program will provide students with an outlet of expression through musical arts. Students will work together to create music that is relevant and rigorous. The materials provided through Donors Choose will not only positively effect the students involved in the program, but will strengthen community through student performances and parent involvement. The program will incorporate many of the national standards for music education such as performing, improvising, composing, reading and notating music, and evaluating music performances. Students will meet during and after school. Each class will experience bucket drumming as a unit during music class and a special honors group will meet after school once a week to prepare concerts and programs.
