Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This project will benefit 26 inner city students from a Title I school district. This would provide each student with a literary opportunity, and allow students to have access to stories at home.

Our students come from a Title I school where more than 93% qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and more than 50% live in poverty.

This project will provide my students with basic supplies for their homes.

My Project

Thank you for considering my project! In my classroom, many students don't have necessary materials to thrive at home.

This project will provide each student in my classroom a versatile pair of pajamas for them to use at home.

Upon surveying students, I found more than half did not have access to pajamas at home, and many slept in clothes. Other students only had one pair, or did not have any warm pajamas during the cold New England winter. This project would send each student home with a pair of pajamas, warm enough for winter, and light enough for other seasons.
