Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students in my class come with a wide range of abilities, interests, and needs. In our integrated classroom, we have respect and understanding that each individual is different, yet equally important.
My students understand that in our class, everyone gets what they need to be successful.
One common goal we all share is motivation for learning in a fun, comfortable, and engaging classroom environment. With this, we are able to meet the needs of all the different learners at the same time.
My Project
We are a class of 31 students, two teachers, and one paraprofessional. This year, we were fortunate enough to keep seven iPads for use in our classroom. The iPads are used for many different projects that include research, educational games, "Fun Friday" centers, and more. We use our iPads all the time!
Unfortunately, we are lacking important accessories for our iPads.
Some of our iPads did not come with cases, chargers, or earphones. It is crucial that we have iPad cases so that we can keep the iPads for many years, without breaks or cracks. We currently are borrowing chargers from other teachers and we need a set of our own chargers, since we use them everyday. Lastly, some of the apps, videos, and games require the sound to be on so we need headphones. It can be very distracting for students to use the iPads at the same time, without the use of earphones. We are requesting earphones that can be used and shared within our classroom.
Please help us get these really essential accessories for our iPads!
