Teacher Cloud from Desoto TX is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need two Mini iPads and a case for each to assist their education and to help with their reading, math, and speech communication and development.

My scholars are special in many ways! We have a great time learning in my classroom. They all learn in different ways, and the majority of them prefer technology over pencil and paper.
I teach Special Education at a Title 1 Charter School which means our funds are very limited.
My classroom consists of scholars with special education needs in grades Pre-K through 2nd. My scholar's eligibility's include Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, and Speech Disorders. We currently do not have any tablets in our classroom. We do have a couple Chromebooks but because of the severity of their disabilities they cannot use a keyboard and mouse. The touch screen on the iPad would be a great resource and allow them to access so much more.
My scholars are very interested in technology. We would use the iPads for communication board apps for non-verbal scholars and learning apps for all the scholars which would allow for more learning at their individual level. I would be able to download our Unique learning apps and interactive lessons as well.
All academic instruction, in the self-contained classroom, is done one-on-one.
If they have access to an iPad, it will increase their engagement and help them focus and learn certain skills. My scholars do not learn like most students. With iPads they will be able to access the curriculum in ways that they are not currently able to. This will boost their confidence as students and life-long learners.
