This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. We are in need of expo markers for our students. We use black expo markers for math, reading groups, and phonics. Please help us get the supplies that we need for our students. Our families want to help and they purchase some supplies, but not nearly as many of the supplies that we need. For example, each student uses at least 5 to 6 expo markers per year.

We use expo markers during math as we write and solve math problems on our whiteboards.

We use expo markers when we are learning phonics skills and concepts. As teachers, we have students write words and sounds on their white boards, then the students have to lift their whiteboards up to show us their work. We use expo markers during small group reading instruction as well. We have students write the characters of the story, the setting of the story, etc.

Students write their opinions of stories and or facts about nonfiction literature that we may be reading and learning about. We use expo markers all day, every day. Please help our school, our families, and our community. Our kids need you! You will be a blessing to us.
