Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing and really want to learn as much as we are wanting to teach them! My students are around 11 and 12 years old, mostly are from Latin America, and receive free lunch. Our school is huge. We have over 1,000 students, and we lack all major resources. We go from Pre-K to 8th grade, with mono- and bilingual classes. Lastly, we are in the fourth largest city in our state. Thank you for reading about my students!
My Project
We really need ink and paper for our classroom printer. Think about being a sixth grader and not being able to print out assignments? homework? projects? and other necessary things.
Our school library does not have a printer students can use, so it is up to the teacher to do his or her best in order to have supplies ready for students.
I also as the teacher will sometimes use the printer to print out emergency copies, or lessons that I feel like should be re-taught last minute because the students didn't fully understand the lesson the first time around.
