My Project

I am a 4th grade teacher in Torrance, CA. My students are respectful, hard workers, and enjoy working with their peers. As part of my ELA curriculum, I have recently introduced Literature Circles to my class. Each student participates in a small reading group and has a specific role/task to complete after reading a book of their choice. I also do Guided Reading centers daily. This allows me to meet with small groups and differentiate reading strategies based on my students' needs.

My goal is to get students excited about reading.

Since I have readers at all levels, I would love to update my classroom library. This will allow students to select books that they are interested in reading. It would also give students the opportunity to read books at their current reading level.
