My Students

I am a kindergarten teacher. I teach beautiful 5 and 6-year-olds. Many of my students are entering the school system for the first time. They come in eager to start this next chapter of their lives, but also scared of the unknown and leaving their parents for the first time. They will leave my class with the love of education, reading, writing, and math.

To achieve this passion for learning I need resources that allow them to experience hands-on learning and engagement activities.

These resources will allow the children to learn through play and laughter.

My Project

The teachers pay teachers gift card will be used to purchase the playdough mega bundle. This bundle includes hands on playdough mats to learn sight words, spelling, letters, and numbers. The bundle includes a digital game where they build sight words to try to beat a timer and smashes the sight word before they build the next word. This activity will be engaging while supporting their fine motor skills and build mastery of standards. When kids learn through play, they have a greater chance to commit that learning to their long-term memory. It has been a rough couple years for kids. When they come to school, I want them to experience joy while building a solid foundation of beginning skills.
