With our school population of almost 800, 100% of the students are living in apartments. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 85% of our students receiving free lunch. Students have the option to receive free breakfast daily through a program at the school that is open to all students.
Our school has a diverse population of students from various countries who speak a variety of different languages.
Many students will come to our school for the first time and never have learned to speak English. We assisted our students in providing a variety of resources such as weekend food bags for students, free eye care and exams, dental screenings, a free food pantry and a clothing closet.
My Project
What can be more fun then using playdoh to work on math, sight words, motor skills and working as a team? All of these materials will help increase my students fine motor skills while having fun at the same time.
The Play-Doh will help them gain better muscle strength in the long run and making learning fun.
I believe that with your wonderful help, the donations for this project will be used to get the materials that will help my students who have trouble with fine motor skills be able to improve so that they can roll in the dough.
