My students are ages 3-5 years old in an inclusion setting. Many of my students have special needs that range from language delays, to cognitive delays, to severe behavior challenges, and more.
My students come from a wide range of backgrounds, however they all have one thing in common.
They are working hard on building skills that will help them to be successful in kindergarten. My students are excited to learn and discover new things daily! When they come to school, they work their hardest, but they also have fun learning.
My Project
My students need new play materials. They need science materials for the bug themed science center. Here they will use science tools to investigate various bugs and other creepy crawlers. They also need a new train set. The train set will help my students learn important sharing skills, as well as engage in imaginative play. They can use the farm animal collection to add various animals to their train creations.
My students would also benefit from a bean bag to add to our "calm down" center.
In this center, my students learn the important skill of calming themselves and learn coping skills to help them remain calm when they are upset.
